Brett has over 25 years of experience in microbial fermentation process development, tech transfer, media formulation, scale-up/scale-down, process and techno-economic modeling, and project management. As a fermentation engineer and technical leader, he has optimized processes in the lab, prepared for and scaled-up to both pilot and production scales, managed successful pilot and production campaigns, and designed an industrial fermentation facility.Â
Over the course of his career, he has managed R&D projects and production campaigns with budgets ranging from $50,000 to several million dollars. He has served in leadership roles with small, entrepreneurial companies to optimize and commercialize fermentation processes to produce renewable chemicals and food products.
