Bioprocess Engineering Lead:  Develop and maintain TEA, lead fermentation PD efforts, and manage projects with CROs for PD and scale-up projects at early-stage bio-based chemical company. Identified minimal media formulations and feeding strategy to increase product titer and yield while minimizing by-products. 

Arete performed techno-economic analysis and delivered conceptual facility design (FEL1) to determine operating costs and capital costs for microbial production facility.

Fermentation Advisor:  Serving as technical advisor for early-stage biotech company by providing expertise on fermentation process development, commercialization strategy, and performing techno-economic analysis.

Process fit:  Evaluated two dormant fermentation facilities for retro-fit and restart to produce nutraceuticals. Summarized options to executive team in terms of costs, pros and cons, risks, and estimated time to start-up.

Engineering Lead:  Developed TEA for large-scale cultivated meat facility and established process development goals and commercialization targets.

Led group of experts and summarized evaluation for a multi-national corporation on the use of a commodity crop for use in biofuels. Recommended use of seeds as a biodiesel feedstock as the most economically advantageous option.
